5:00 p.m. on monday and we spoke to the attorney for the blogger who sued to put up the ad and he joined us by phone earlier tonight. >> in a civil society, if you object to speech, the response is not to engage in violence but more speech and we held the protection of the first amendment in the united states and the judge upheld that in a ruling today and that is the correct way to go. >> metro spokesman said that the metro will comply with the order and the ads will go up this weekend. more turbulence for american airlines. it's pulling 48 of the 757s to make repairs. after several seats came loose mid-air on three different flights and three different days. fifty flights were cancelled, 34 today and anna coinman tells us that the issue is having an impact across the country. >> reporter: multiple mid-air scares prompting the quick fix. the airline making headlines

last week after seats pop loose on three different planes. american said this is the problem, the seat plunger mechanism and if the locking pin doesn't reset, the seats can come loose. american is adding an experimental saaa device under the mechanisms. more than 1,000 of them. >> we quickly came for the additional locking mechanism and adding another level of redundancy to make sure they're in place. >> reporter: american pulling 48757s to make repairs on them. the planes singled out because they have two locking mechanisms instead of four like the rest of the fleet. repairs causing temporary headaches for thousands of passengers across the country. the airline said the safety of the passengers and crew is the top priority. >> and the additional redundancy will add another level of security.

>> reporter: american said that all of the planes should be back in service by saturday. in new york, anna coinman, fox news. antiwar actives -- activists are flying to pakistan to join the don protest. they ignoring the risks and joining the two-day march into pakistan's tribal belt. the march starts tomorrow in islamabad and ends in a town southwest of couragey stan and the region that is a major focus for drone strikes. >> down the middle, touchdown. >> that is the wrong video. the group's concerned that militants may target the weekend event. new developments in the shooting of a border patrol agent. the fbi said the incident may have been friendly fire and they investigating whether the two agents involved opened fire after handling each was shot at. it happened on tuesday. the agent was shot and killed. another agent shot and

survived. the third agent was not injured attempt. there will be no more trials for the man known as the serial stabber. two remaining murder cases and six attempts, this is not the right video either. he will be suspended. the prosecutors say additional trials will cost hundreds of thousands of dollars. in 2010, abuluzam stabbed 14 people in michigan killing five of them and is accused of stabbing three people in leesburg, virginia, and another in ohio. last spring, he was sentenced to life in prison without parole. the only survivor of a deadly car crash was found guilty of being in a stolen vehicle. the no one-year-old was nvicted of unauthorized use of the vehicle and other charges. richardson was one of four inside the stolen vehicle when it crashed in march. the other three died in the fiery crash. and he's to be sentenced december 12th. ahead, two until teammates are vocal on same-sex marriage.

around the region and the headlines, not only will this be a gorgeous friday evening, i don't think that saturday looks bad. you will night breeze by tomorrow night and if you have plans, take a jacket and that might be gusty out of the northwest. right now, we're describing it as cold and rainy and that is looks like the rain will get going early in the morning and should be off and on most of the day, too. we'll have the redskins forecast in a moment. 79 here in the district, most other places are in the 70s and with nice, low humidity and bright skies. we don't have to look too far away and d.c. with 79, chicago 50. and that will swing through

during the day tomorrow and a lot of cold air and that is some snow a rough three to five inches in minnesota and some spots over a foot of snow and some into denver. denver was about 87 a couple of days ago and here come the rain showers with the frontal boundary and don't get here until the afternoon and not as heavy as what we're seeing through the ohio valley and we're going to call for late- day showers tomorrow and still descent and the morning hours are nice at 76 degrees in the afternoon. we drop to the night into the 50s and we don't recover on sunday. i think our temperature on sunday might start around 54 degrees and drop into the afternoon so that we're near 50 or even getting cooler as the weakway of low pressure develops on the frontal boundary that will be passing us. a chilly day, raw day with some
